Master Hu is participating in The After School All-Stars Program that reaches out to 10,000 At-Risk youth in greater Los Angeles. Basketball great Kobe Bryant is the sponsor. Master Hu is one of the teachers in the Health, Nutrition and Physical Fitness component of this program. He will be teaching his classes in Chinese to help teach kids the basics of the Chinese language so as they may build a foundation for future study of Chinese culture. The 5th annual Shaolin Wushu Center Tournament will be held on Memorial Day Weekend. Stay tuned for more information in the weeks to come.
The banquet price should read: $20 for adults and $15 for children, not $30/$20. If you've already paid the higher amount, you will receive a refund of the balance. The banquet will take place at the Misaki Restaurant. It's an excellent buffet restaurant serving Japanese and Chinese food.
The Shaolin Wushu Center is pleased to announce its 2009 China Tour. Join us July 29, 2009 – August 10, 2009 as we travel to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xian and Beijing and see sites such as the Huang Pu River, the Linyin Temple, the Terra Cotta Warriors, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and much more. We will practice Taiji by lakes and in forests, we'll stay in 4-star accomodations with all meals provided (including some very special ones), and we'll even enjoy some special entertainments 2009 China Tour brochure.

The 4th Greater Hartford International Chinese Martial Arts Festival will be held on May 9, 2009 at the Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor, CT. Events include a martial arts tournament, followed by a Masters Demo and Banquet.
